Moving my hub into the cupboard upstairs

The connection comes into my home in the living room, but children keep playing with the Hub.

I am thinking it would be best to have the cable enter the house on 1st floor, and then run under the floor into the cupboard at the back of the house. Following the same route that the gas pipe goes.

Is it possible for VM to do this, and what kind of costs?

VM charge a flat rate of £25 for cable moves etc.  You will have to prep all the work, as I doubt very much if the engineer will work underfloor.  If you lift boards where necessary and have a pull rope ready to go, I'm sure that will work for the engineer  🙂

Hi Jramsden99,

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community.

Our team would be happy to book in a relocation of the equipment for you at the standard charge of £25 but our technician will not be able to remove flooring in order to run the cables.

They will be able to attach cabling along the walls/skirting as part of the relocation but any further work would need to be completed prior to the visit.

Please let us know if you wish to proceed or if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Nat
