Can I use my Hub5 to connect ethernet to a network switch

We are shortly moving into our new home which we have had rewired to include ethernet points. I have a network switch set up in a cupboard and have ethernet points in lounge, bedroom and office these return to the cupboard with the network switch in.

Can I connect the hub5 via ethernet to the point in the lounge to provide 'internet' to the network switch or do I need something else?

Many thanks

What switch is it?

You'll be limited to around 900Mbps across all your devices if it's a gigabit switch.

So if you have Gig1 you'll lose some bandwidth (Usually 1130 - 1150Mbps).

Many thanks Carl, here is the switch.

TP-Link 24-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch, Rack-Mount/Desktop, Steel Case(TL-SG1024D)

It's a Gigabit switch, so you'll be limited to around 900Mbps across all devices connected to the switch, as mentioned above.

You'll still be able to consume full bandwidth if you plug other devices directly into the HUB via ethernet (Not via the switch) or over wireless from the HUB directly.

It should still work fine, though.
