Recent ContentIs this number legit? 0203[REMOVED] Decided to finally answer this call after constant harassment and they said they were from retentions. I only gave them my email address, postcode and phone no. and got a better deal. I searched the number online afterward because my phone registered it as a suspected scammer and found many users commenting that it is a phone contract scam number. My internet was momentarily disrupted as they said it would, so it would seem legit, but I think they may have hacked my internet. Please help, many thanks Help delete ntlworld email account Hi.Please help me to delete an old ntlworld email account. I am no longer a VM account holder as I moved house, and expected the ntlworld address to stop working after 90 days, but it still keeps going 30 months later. There is a lot of spam and other unpleasant scam attempts follow the hack a few years ago. Thanks. SolvedIs this genuine? 0199346xxxx Hello. I received an unexpected call from this number today, 0199346xxxx. The person said he was from Virgin Media and that I was to get a new router delivered on Friday by Royal Mail because of speed problems in my area. He asked me to go onto my laptop to check my speed but I wasn't sure he was genuine. I asked him to wait till I checked something and then he hung up. Was I right to be suspicious? [Mod - number edited in case innocent number spoofed] Virgin Media Data Breach, Executive Team Telling me to go straight to Court Recently had a data breach caused by VM where a 3rd party was able to change information on my account. I put a complaint in and VM held their hands up and admitted fault. I was given compensation for the customer experience element however I stated I wanted further compensation due to the data breach itself. The executive team is saying they won’t discuss the data breach and I need to take legal action for this. However surely they need to provide a response or try to work on a solution prior to any legal action or the case will be thrown out? Do I need to raise a new complaint for the data breach which is possible on their site, also does the ombudsman look into privacy and data issue? If anyone’s had any experience it would be great to hear. All the VM staff are giving misleading information and avoiding the resolution for the data breach. Anybody else getting harassing calls from Virgin Media? In June this year, a mere 1/3 of the way into my new 18 month Broadband contract with Virgin Media, I began to receive numerous marketing calls. They were offering me a longer contract which would not only cost me more and tie me in for longer, but I'd get less for the privilege. My response was a clear "No thanks"! So they tried again and then again. In response to these unwanted calls, I raised a complaint. In their response, VM advised me to check my marketing preferences, claimed that they have not been calling me and that I should be more careful about who I answer the phone to! Of course I was not happy with that reply so I rejected their resolution and ended up in a call with the complaints team. For the record, I checked my marketing preferences and consent was already declined for these calls! During the conversation with the complaints team, they confirmed that the number calling me was one of their numbers. They also ensured that I was not on the lists for future marketing calls. That resolution was satisfactory to me so I asked them to close my complaint. Fast forward to August and the calls have started again! I have ignored them until today when I answered. Same thing as before! As politely as I could, I asked them to take me off their calls list! I again checked my marketing preferences, consent is still off! To help anyone searching, I have been called from the following numbers, all indicated on my phone display as Virgin Media. 0800 052 8675 (3 times in June 2025, confirmed by VM to be one of their numbers) 0800 052 7551 (once in June 2025) 0800 052 9406 (4 times between 1st and 11th August 2025) Virgin Media blocking email from outlook.com All emails from our club email account (outlook online) are being refused by Virgin media for any blueyonder.co.uk email addresses: Generating server: GV4PR07MB10290.eurprd07.prod.outlook.com [To] "anyone"@blueyonder.co.uk Remote server returned '554 5.4.0 < #5.4.300 smtp;550 5.4.300 Message expired -> 421 4.2.0 MXIN618 Temporary SMC Policy Violation detected, retry later ;id=PKb0uoEA0d0pmPKb0uIZQy;sid=PKb0uoEA0d0pm;mta=mx7-prd-nl1-vmo;dt=2025-06-11T14:30:22+02:00;ipsrc=52.101.84.46;>' Original message headers: Received: from PA4PR07MB7309.eurprd07.prod.outlook.com (2603:10a6:102:d0::23) by GV4PR07MB10290.eurprd07.prod.outlook.com (2603:10a6:150:297::14) with Microsoft SMTP Server (version=TLS1_2, cipher=TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384) id 15.20.8813.30; Wed, 11 Jun 2025 10:59:23 +0000 Received: from AS8PR07MB9493.eurprd07.prod.outlook.com (2603:10a6:20b:636::18) by PA4PR07MB7309.eurprd07.prod.outlook.com (2603:10a6:102:d0::23) with Microsoft SMTP Server (version=TLS1_2, There's more header information available - I just put the first few lines to show the source. This has been going on for a week now, and is becoming seriously problematic. It appears to be a virgin media configuration problem. Can anyone in virgin media resolve this please? 0800 052 9406- phishing or harassment ? I first received a "courtesy" call on my mobile from this number some 10 days ago, ostensibly Virgin Media wanting to ensure I had the best package available. The caller knew my name and some other information which made me believe that they had access to my VM account. But I have always refused to entertain unsolicited marketing calls. And I steadfastedly refuse to provide evidence of my identity to such callers, which in this case were demanded for Virgin Media discuss offers ! And, so I was told, it was not possible to have details e mailed to me. Having politely declined to engage with these callers I have since received a call from 0800 052 9406 every day. So are these calls from scammers ? If so VM should alert their community. Or are they from Virgin Media ( who promise not to "bombard" people) ? If they are genuine can they please outline what they consider to be an acceptable level of contact to customers who have indicated they do NOT want to be harassed. F-Secure - Advanced Security - Unlimited = 15 devices I recieved offer email about Advanced Security from F-Secure and saw that for £30 per year I could have Advanced Security " "which protects an unlimited number of devices for just £3 per month (first three months free) or £30 a year" ... Dated 23rd July 2025. I already have F-Secure via VM, but I noticed that I have 15 device license and none spare. I contacted F-Secure who really don't know what Unlimited means... 07/25/2025 02:42 PM GMT Hazamuddin M 07/25/2025 02:43 PM GMT The unlimited devices for Virgin Media offers was set by default at 15 devices .. " Regarding the unlimited device offers, it is actually by design, cutomers may purchase more licenses then the default numbers 15 and up-to 25 The terms unlimited is a reference to a household capacity, in the nature that F-Secure is a consumer type You product and not for business/enterprise purposes" I'm pretty sure this is illegal ... offer that is not fulfilled. Porn site not blocked WARNING: NSFW Although I have porn sites blocked (and confirmed since common sites are blocked too), I have found a site that is unblocked. If I visit the site in the English version, then it is blocked. However if I visit it in the original Russian version, then Virgin Media allows it through for some reason. The site is: [removed] I am requesting that you guys simply just add the site to the banned porn list, as I can’t ban this site specifically since I am not the owner of my household router. Thanks
