F-Secure - Advanced Security - Unlimited = 15 devices

I recieved offer email about Advanced Security from F-Secure and saw that for £30 per year I could have Advanced Security " "which protects an unlimited number of devices for just £3 per month (first three months free) or £30 a year" ... Dated 23rd July 2025.

I already have F-Secure via VM, but I noticed that I have 15 device license and none spare.

I contacted F-Secure who really don't know what Unlimited means...

The unlimited devices for Virgin Media offers was set by
default at 15 devices
..

" Regarding the unlimited device offers, it is actually by
design, cutomers may purchase more licenses then the
default numbers 15 and up-to 25
The terms unlimited is a reference to a household
capacity, in the nature that F-Secure is a consumer type
You  product and not for business/enterprise purposes"

I'm pretty sure this is illegal ... offer that is not fulfilled.

  • As you could imagine - I have raised an official complaint and will raise one with Trading Standards if not resolved as inaccurate offer.

If all 15 F-Secure licence slots are used up their must a way to clear down the retired devices that no longer exist freeing up some licence slots for reuse.

    Did you read :

This is the final paragraph from the link above :

Unlimited devices, after the first 15 devices will need to be registered via F-Secure. £3 per month or annual subscription for £30 after trial period.

Yes but I promise you that this won’t fly. If challenged in Court, VM will absolutely lose!

You can’t make a promise (Unlimited devices, would seem to suggest just that) in the headline offer and then try to evade that in the small print buried (as I notice) after the adverts. 'Oh by the way when we say unlimited we mean 15, but we hope you don’t read this far.....'

No that’s really not going to work.

Perhaps these confected gripes are the reason the forum account is being closed down.
