I'm still not seeing any problem beyond your iMAC is not consuming data as fast as you had expected.

The goal of a high speed internet connection is the same as a domestic electricity supply i.e.to supply enough capacity for the normal operation of many devices.  It is not to enable every device to post a perfect speed test.
