No more VM Wifi Hotspots

Just had an email from VM stating the "out of home" wifi (Hotspots) are being turned off by 1st Nov.

Not bothered as I never used this service, but I'm sure some will miss it.

Wonder if it will free up much bandwidth?

I doubt it as most people’s hub do not reach outside their own property we are lead to believe by the number of post of bad WiFi on the board.

Did you ever try to use the (already retired) VM Hotspots on the London Underground ?

Quite useless when on a journey, the authentication process was so slow it would seldom have connected before the train departed the platform.
