So have 1gb connection with Virgin, using the Hub in Modem mode with an XR 500 router. We had a lot of drop outs where the router would need a reboot. Virgin came and attenuated the signal with a 3db in line attenuator in the back of the modem. Things have improved however we still get drops in the connection, the connection usually stabalises but it's irritating and no good for gaming which we do a lot of.
So information below, do we think that the signal is still too strong or was the engineer barking up the wrong street? It has imporved but still not as it should be.

Those stats look good, but we need the upstream figures as well, they are just as important if not more so.

There's nothing you can do. It needs a technician visit to resolve the connection problem.
You'll find it difficult to get the phone staff to understand it, so you need the forum staff to arrange a visit.
