Hi all,
I have just signed up as a new customer to 1GB broadband, is there any way that I can check If I will receive the hub 5? And as I have had a hub 4 in the past and had nothing but trouble.

The best plan of action may be to be at home on the day the VM engineer comes to install
the service and politely ask if a Hub 5 is available from the van.
Perhaps you have already seen this thread regarding the Hub 5 2.5Gb/s port ...

Staff on here can't help with your choice of Hub. They are programmed to tell you the Hub4 and Hub5 are both suitable for 1Gbps

Not just about speed though, the HUB5 has more sensitive tuner in it meaning that other hubs giving a lower SNR would get a higher one under the HUB5. I've used most of the hubs throughout my years with VM. The HUB5 for me in modem mode, was the most stable and attained the best signal and least noise.

Hub 5 arrived and all setup I have also run this speed test there seems to be a problem with speed.
