I returned my old router as requested weeks ago. I have the yodel returns receipt and a tracking code. Yet am getting threatening emails and texts saying that I will be charged £40. Not great experience of VM tbh!

I'm sorry to hear you have still been receiving notifications from us that the equipment has not been returned. It can take up to 14 days from when the equipment was posted for us to receive it and register it on your account.
