I have been with Virgin for many years, maybe 8 or 9. I have a pretty expensive account, over a hundred pounds a month. My bills are always paid, I've never lost service through late payments, etc
I'm just moving into a new home I was happy to renew my contract. The engineer was due out tomorrow now they say it's not going through because I have a low credit score! They have faithfully taken around £10,000 from this guy who's too much of a financial risk.
I'd be happy to pay 3 or 4 months in advance to mitigate the risk with them holding onto a sum as a deposit. Talking to an actual person seems to be all but a dream these days.
