Remote pairing keeps changing

I've just had 360 installed and have a hdmi splitter to take the signal from the main box to both the Sony TV in that room and to the Samsung TV in the kitchen  (as can't have a 3rd mini box like we did with sky).

However, the remote pairing keeps changing from Sony to Samsung...I pair it back to Sony then the next day it's Samsung again.

Is the kitchen TV sending some kind of signal to 360 to tell it what brand it is? Or is this just a coincidence and the box has a mind of its own? Do not have a problem with the other 2 mini boxes.

Have you tried swapping boxes around to see if the issue follows the box? 

Due to using the splitter it's also possible that the  remote senses the other TV and so re-pairs with that one.

The remote can only be paired with one box at a time.
