Line cord error

Home phone states line cord error, I can not see a fault I have tried the obvious (connection, turned off and on)

Line cord error often means the phone is not connected to a working phone service.

Does the phone still have a dial tone ?

No dialling tone,

it has been working fine up till now and phone is only 6 months old

Just happened to mine too. No dial tone and line cord error message
