BBC HD no sound

Suddenly the BBC HD channel sound is not working. I have changed nothing. Rebooted everything unplugged cables etc, and still nothing. Its the only channel sound not working?

Hi @james-28  and @simon210270 

No problems here on Teesside on either BBC1 SD or BBC 1 HD. It may be local to your area.

Have you looked at Check service status at the top of the page? 

If nothing is showing  you could also try the  automated Service Status number  0800 561 0061.  This often gives details of more known local issues down to postcode level.

We have the same fault - just on BBC1HD (channel 108). No problem using BBC1 on channel 101. We are in Hertfordshire but I think our service comes from Luton.

Tried the check status and even that isn’t working!!

This fault is independent of which software platform your box runs on, so I've merged a thread from the 360 board with another thread from the V6 board.

Teeside and Bristol area have no issues, so there's evidently not a national fault. It may be useful if affected users could post which part of the country they're in.

Just updated to Virgin TV 360. All working fine apart from sound on BBC1. Also based in Hertfordshire.

No sound on channel 108 (BBC1 HD) for me either. I'm in the Luton area. Was just making sure I'm not the only one. Other channels seem fine.

I just wanted to add, lost sound on 108 happened yesterday, 18th of Jan for myself and the sound is fine via the Freesat I happen to know.
