Hi,

I received my quick start kit at the weekend however the only Virgin Media wall socket I have looks like this. There is no other wall socket or anywhere for the round wire to go.

  is this not gonna work?

That is a Virgin telephone socket. These sockets are purely for the legacy telephone service, & are now becoming obsolete (for new customers the phone plugs into the hub).

Take a look outside where the incoming cable is. The coaxial cable you need to use usually either comes straight through the wall or goes to another location elsewhere in the house. It my just be a cable end. Sometimes Sky satellite installers remove the cables & replace them with their own.

If you cannot find the correct connection, or it has been removed, then you will need to contact the pre-install team to install a new socket (0800 052 1734)
