Flashing red light-hub 5

Good evening.

My neighbour has been out carrying building works bordering on my property.

I've returned home tonight and have no internet, flashing red light on hub.

No TV service either.

No service issues locally.

I'm presuming a possible severed cable.

The cable runs along a border to a access pit in the street.

Just an update on this and a question.

The technician came next day and carried out a temporary repair.

He said a new cable would be installed via a different team.

How is this communicated,he said I'd heard that day but nothing.

Presume I'll need to be at the property for the above.

Thanks for reaching out to us @andybrock, and welcome back to our Community Forums!

Sorry to hear of the issues experienced with the connection.

Can you please confirm the status of the services for us?

Have you been able to discuss these issues with your neighbour to see if this was the root cause of the issue?

Thanks,

David_Bn

Hi.

Yes building work adjacent to my property caused the issue- a severed cable.

Technician repaired the damage, reinstated all services & just I've just received the date for the new cable installation.

Is the householder required to be present for the new cable installation??

Hi andybrock,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, sorry to hear your cable was cut while your neighbors were having building work done, although the technician will be working outside we advise someone over the age of 18 being home in case any further internal checks are needed.

Regards

Paul.
