Is anyone else having problems with these. I have lost Wi-Fi in parts of house I had before with old style boosters. Do they actually get any better after 24 hours?

nope either works or not.

maybe send the pod back and get your own wireless router with 1Gb ports and hub in modem mode.

Have you complied with all the requirements for these to work?

Hub 3.0 or Hub4 in Router Mode;

A single WiFi SSID;

Channel Optimisation enabled in Smart WiFi router settings.
