Home number not working

I changed from Sky to virgin back in April, however I have just noticed my home phone number hasn't changed to the number virgin gave me, its still my old number I had with sky. How do I get this rectified? Thanks

Just to clarify, did you request that your landline number with Sky was ported across to us? 

Also, are you wanting to have a random number assigned to your account or a specific number?

No I didn't ask for my number to be ported. Virgin contacted me via email with my new number. However this doesn't work but my old sky number does! Am I eligible for compensation in a phone service I have not yet being able to use yet I'm billed for?!

In order to look into this for you further, we'll send you a private message on here. Look out for the envelope in the top right-hand corner.

If you're on a portable device with a smaller screen, click on the icon in the top right-hand corner and select "messages" from the additional menu options.
