can't make calls in USA

I'm sorry to see that you are having issues with making calls in America. Just to confirm have you been able to check your online account here to ensure that your roaming service is fully active?

If this is active and you still have no luck it would be best going through some diagnostics on our phone fix link here.

hi. the link you sent seems to be for sending a damaged phone back for repair.

the phone is set up for roaming, but can't find any other networks

i wasn't, but trying again this morning i have connected to one and received some text messages from virgin - not sure why this has taken until now to sort out, but it appears my problem is solved.
