I have a Xiaomi 5g lite ne .

I have been with EE for a year, using this device, before changing to virgin mobile.

The WiFi calling option was there with EE but now I'm using virgin mobile there is no longer any option.

Each flavour of WiFi Calling is different for each provider, and the devices need to support each particular version.

So it's likely that Xiaomi don't have support for the current Virgin Mobile version.

If you have just moved across you need to check with Virgin it is turned on in your account.

It is not on by default.

If after that it doesn't work then it is compatability issues.

Virgins lists of compatible devices is out of date, but it is unlikely to be updated as Virgin Mobile only has a few months to run.
