If I ring a landline number that I have saved in my contacts, my phone goes ‘beep beep beep’ and a French message is read out. I live in South West England so have no idea why my phone thinks that I’m in France. I have tried the following already:
- Turned off dialling assist
- Changed the language and region in my phone’s settings
- Ordered a new sim card but it still has the same problem
I can call the landline number if I copy and paste the number into my keypad however. The issue doesn’t appear to be with mobile numbers though, just landlines. I’m using an iphone 8.
Thanks 🙂
