What is the best way to use mobile in USA

Thanks for posting in regards to using your mobile in the USA, we appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums and welcome to the community.

Personally I would stick to WiFi and use the likes of WhatsApp or similar to call home.

If you choose to use your phone normally it needs to be at least 4G with VoLTE enabled. If not you won't be able to make or receive calls on an American network

Cost wise this is correct, making the most of free wireless networks (check secure first) and data based applications like What's App and Wi-Fi calling are two options also.
