HUB 4 Worth having

Are their still issues with the hub 4 as been offered to upgrade from hub 3 to hub 4, reading some posts saying it's no better than the hub 3.

In most performance respects it is no better, but the underlying technology makes better use of network bandwidth than earlier hubs, so it helps increase network capacity in areas subject to congestion and that's probably why you've been offered one.  Up to you if you want to take it up.

Given the number of complaints being posted on here with Hub 4, I would have to say, that if you are having no issues with Hub 3, stay where you are.

No doubt VM 'will' solve the numerous and glitches, so as ye old'e saying goes:

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

But as Andrew_G has said, it's your call.

Been told cannot have hub 4 as 1gb is not in my area and they come ready for 1gb and be issues downgrading to 500 that i get and could cause problems

If you're offered a Hub 4 via the email / website link, you can get it as it's special managed offer.

Normal upgrades for the Hub 4 are only currently available as part of a change to Gig1.
