Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.
Sorry for the connection issue. You do need a technician visit as some of the SNR levels on the upstream are out.
I'll send you a PM now to assist further.
Best wishes.

Thanks for joining me on PM and confirming your details so I can book in the technician visit for the SNR issue on your upstream channels. The visit will be viewable shortly in your online account - virg.in/myVM - where you can cancel/amend if needed.
There will be no charge for this visit unless:
• The technician diagnoses the faults as not being caused by our network/equipment
• The technician discovers that the fault or problem relates to your equipment
• The technician discovers that the fault or problem relates to any system that we are not responsible for
The technician will confirm during their visit if any of these instances apply, and if so, a £25 charge will be applied to your account.
Please ensure there is someone over the age of 18 present at the time of the visit. If you need to change or cancel your appointment you can do this online or via the MyVM app by 4pm the day before the appointment.
If you do miss an agreed appointment for any reason, a £25 missed appointment charge will be applied to your account on the day of the appointment.
Going forward after the visit, any further issues that's WiFi related, please download the Connect App 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/connect-app - you'll be able to run a wireless scan in property, this will check and identify any coverage issues. It'll optimise any coverage dead-spots where possible and if a Pod needed, prompt you to order.
Let us know how the visit goes and do also pop back if you ever need further assistance.

My wifi signal is good but my TV still buffers or drops out altogether requiring turn off and turn back on technique to get it started again. I think this is probably a problem with the TV not the WiFi?
any thoughts on soloutions?

Sorry to hear this is still ongoing for you @PhilRothwell41
How do you watch your TV services? Is this through a third party provider, through your smart TV directly or through a devices like an fire stick?
Does this only affect your TV free to view services or is it just streaming apps?
