Hi,

I upgraded my Internet today using the hub 4 in modem mode and using asus zenwfif xt8 as mesh (one upstairs which is main one, other is upstairs) I'm using cat 8 cables through out the house. I'm getting between 300 and 400 mbps.

Cheers

Power levels and SNR were OK when those readings were taken.  The appearance of so many pre-RS errors on downstream channel 3 is not a fault as such, but is a concern that so many should crop up so quickly after a restart - that may be noise ingress through a dodgy connection somewhere, and if there's breakthrough post-RS errors as well, those do matter and can affect speed.  The network log is particularly nasty - far too many serious errors in the past couple of days, and showing a poor quality connection.  I suspect this will need a technician visit - I'd wait on the forum staff and see what they can advise.

I did phone virgin earlier on and I think they are are sending put a new box so not sure if that will be any good. Is there anything else you can think of doing while I wait for staff?

Sorry, just looking now they are giving me intelligent WiFi plus service and intelligent WiFi pod 1, I don't really understand what this means

Testing by wifi is not a reliable test even with the best device but your likely not getting the speed by wire either.

this is what I just got on the hub 4 router mode. I just rang virgin again and they are monitoring my account to see what the issue is, but from what the lady I was speaking to was saying is that there nothing wrong yet I'm still get half my speeds. It's doing nut in

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Community Forums, Wampa,

Sorry to hear that you have been having connection issues. Once you receive and set up the wifi pod, let us know how it goes with your connection.

Cheers,
Corey C

Hi,

I tried the WiFi pod but it just didn't work sat ages just watching a light blink. I have no resorted to buy a new 3rd party mesh system, to see if the virign or my current mesh.

Is the device you are testing with wifi6?
