Hi ...I wanted to use my Hub3 DOCSIS 3.0 Router on a home network. On researching the subject i have found that it is possible to use a router with a usb port to facilitate this. However sadly my router does not have a usb port on it. My question is.......if i got an ethernet to usb adaptor would this work?. If so would there be any configuration settings to alter?

What exactly are you trying to do? What are you trying to set up?
Is this for a share on your home network - USB drive in rear of hub/router so you can share files/media with different devices, or even externally?
Forget trying to do this with a Hub 3 (or any other VM hub).
Some ISP hubs/routers, including some of the BT Home Hubs, will allow this but not all. Better to use a third party router that offers this capability.
Ethernet to USB? Not really. Such devices are normally used to connect a device/computer that lacks an Ethernet interface, but has USB functionality. It's not going to let you do what you want to do - You would still need a DLNA server, SAMBA (for Windows FS) and so on. They need to run on a 'box' of some sort with processing power.
My D Link router allows all that plus FTP server, if required - sharing content on a USB drive plugged into the back of the router.
Better still get a NAS drive....

Your description is a bit vague. What actually are you trying connect to the VM Hub? Is it a PC or a Hard Disk?
