So until recently the general advice has been that you can't get the Hub 5 unless you're at the end of your contract and negotiate one as part of your renewal, or you upgrade to a Gig1 package.
However, I have seen a few people commenting here saying they were able to simply ask for one during their contract and they were sent one without issue or question.
If you are one of the people who managed to do this mid-contract on a less than gigabit package - Could you please comment which department you spoke to and which method of communication you used to reach them?
I've just been sent a very badly 'refurbished' Hub 3, and the thought of living with this for the next 2 years is enough to make me consider cancelling and walking away.

Hub5 is still only being given to 1G customers, but rarely when a technician has to replace a faulty hub and does not have the correct type on their van a user may then get a Hub5.
