When i try to link my broadband account to my My Virgin Media account, it says it "cannot find customer". This is despite the fact i am copy-pasting my account number and surname from the contract i have been provided. This is preventing me from disabling parental controls, which for some reason are on by default.

Update, i can no longer log into my My Virgin Media account and the system seems convinced i never signed up for one, as my email address is not recognised by the "forgot your password" function.
