Virgin tell me my connection is not secure and not to use it for financial transactions etc. Can anyone tell me how I make it secure?

How has Virgin told you this information? Phone call, email, text message?
Or is this something you are reading on your web browser when connecting to certain sites?
Or something else?
You might have to expand a bit here with some more detail of your problem.

I have recently downloaded the mobile app and it was in there when I went to hotspots and clicked on my little icon in the bottom left of the screen. Interestingly, since posting this I went back and it is now telling me that it is secure. Not sure why it said it wasn't before?
