Ive recieved email saying I owe virgin money i have direct debit set up so this must be a scam???

Entirely possible it is a scam but there are also a few posts in the 'Managing Your Account - Cable' forum about customers getting messages alleging a part-paid bill.
You can also check scam messages in the latest 'Phishing News' at the top of the 'Security Matters' forum

Thank you for making your first post regarding the email you have received stating your bill has not been paid, I am sorry for this. We are currently investigating this billing issue at the moment. Once we have an update we will let everyone know, this has no way to effect anyone's credit rating.
