Please can you provide more information on this? What did VM observe to indicate that one of my machines was infected with malware?

I received an email with recommendations (AV scan etc.), but I'd still be keen to understand how this malware was identified.

Thanks for your reply. 

Most malware is noticed though a customers webmail account.

It gets picked up by our filters if a mail has been sent or received containing Malware. 

In most cases its when one is received.
