Options for extending broadband with coax cable

I have Virgin Media - Broadband only via a Hub 5.
When we moved to this house there was coax cable from the place where the TV/Hub currently is to an upstairs room. As the wifi is unbearably bad in this house, are there any options that people know of to make use of this existing cabling? It looks professionally done and has a termination at the end, but no equipment plugged in.

Hi @mail2pete

Plug your hub into the upstairs VM connection point.

If it's live it should work.

Hey @mail2pete, thanks for reaching out to us and a warm welcome to the Virgin Media forums!

I'm sorry to hear about the Wi-Fi issues that are on-going, have you tried to reset the hub?
Regarding your query - can you confirm if you are referring to another socket in the premises to which you'd like to place the hub?

Let us know.

Kind regards.
