Latency problems in WC1

tom1888
On our wavelength

Evening,

Our service has been very patchy over the last few days. See

https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality/share/e92ab4da89c2db4ae63df9b18c6f431f64f53e19-18-10-2021

Any thoughts on what might be causing this.

Thanks,

Tom

Download channels 1-7 having trouble there.

Fairly poor SNR, looks like a noisy line.

Upload power is on the high side, I think you would benefit from a visit to investigate.

Thank you. Will someone pick that up up from this thread or do I need to start afresh trying to ring Virgin to arrange an appointment.

Hi tom1888

Thanks for posting. My apologies for the broadband issues. It does indeed need a tech for the power level issue.

Will send you a PM now.

Morning John, A very nice engineer attended yesterday evening. He told us all our wiring was old (still Telewest) and replaced it and the box outside, and told us that would solve the signal noise problem. Everything seemed to work when he left.

Unfortunately this morning I have been thrown off a video call. 2mbps speed. Still high power requirement on early channels and high s/n on hub (will post). So problem is just not fixed. Help please! Thanks.
