Why do virgin make it difficult to change suppliers

I have been on phone for 1.22 hour and counting trying to explain that I have changed suppliers cos virgin too expensive

If you are simply trying to give 30 days notice to leave, you can do so by writing in as per

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/leaving

use a first class signed for delivery service for dated proof of delivery to VM
