The deal I agreed online vs the deal they signed me up to. All despite several calls and emails that confirmed the original price was being processed.

Anyone at VM care to explain / help?

Looks like you have been charged for two months up front. 

I'm not a Very Insightful Person (just a little bit, sometimes). I don't work for Virgin Media (but then nor do any of the offshore customer service agents).

Welcome back to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

Sorry to hear you have had this bill come through with regards to your package, with this it could be that the bill produced before the change was done and thus it shows at this higher rate, can you confirm if your MY VM account shows the same billing amount?
