I have been unable to access my ntlworld mailbox on my mobile for 2 weeks now. Dialogue box says: Cannot get mail "imap.virginmedia.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings.

Unfortunately the error messages that email apps supply are often very generic, they tend to be along the lines of "computer say NO".
To get a better idea of what's going wrong try signing in to your ntlworld account directly on the VM website using this link https://mail2.virginmedia.com/
If it comes up with the "Your mailbox is not available.....try again in an hour" error message you should follow the advice given here https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Email-accounts-locked-mailbox-unable-unable-to-access-ema...
If it comes up with a different error, or if it does allow you to access the account then just come back with that info and a forum member or one of the Forum Team will follow that up.
