Trying to change ntlworld email password, followed instructions, : my account: account settings; mail settings. Asked to change email address, enter my gmail address twice and submit, screen then says check email box to continue , I never receive an email to the gmail inbox (checked in spam). Tried to change password on my virgin media account and have same problem. Any ideas?

I had this exact issue and it was because I'd used my Gmail account already to set a password for my secondary VM e-mail.Once I tried a different Gmail account to log into VM it worked fine.

FWIW if you wish to use the original Gmail account then submit an alternative email address and immediately resubmit the original
