I've been with virgin media several months now with no issue, however for some reason my broadband just shut off, it says connected without internet. I've restarted the hub and also pressed the reset button and it still won't connect.
When I rang I was told it was most likely an external problem and an engineer would come out but wasn't made aware of when this will happen, does anyone have any idea how long external issues take to fix or do I need to call back?

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web page status, but this is not recommended.
VM will not dispatch any technicians while an area fault exists.
If no faults found:
Call Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post.
