broadband not working

we have recently set up our hub 4 but it won’t connect we recently noticed there’s no box outside where our neighbours have a virgin media one, is this why? and how to we fix it

The Picture is of an outside box ! Albeit the cover is missing. Is this your box or the neighbours?

Do you have the internal wall socket or connector inside the house? If so wher does the wire from it - run to out side - is it the box in the picture - if not then where?

What happens when you connect the VM Hub and switch it on - what hub model is it (ob its base sticker) and what are its lights showing and doing?
