Have you possibly attempted to run scans in the second bedroom and garage, via the Virgin Media Connect App, to identify any black spots?
If the black spots are identified, this will then allow you to order the desired Wi-Fi pod.

yes i have run the app and it says the garage has no wifi and the second bedroom has 8 mbps but there is nothing on the app to order them with
