One device not accessing certain websites

We have multiple phones, iPads etc which all work fine but when I try to get hotmail or my bank and a few other sites using my laptop it says something like insecure and will not let me access them.  Is there something in the laptop I need to change or install?   Can access them all on phone, iPads etc on same wifi.  If I turn off virgin webesafe (parental control already off no kids lol) then it works fine……   Thanks in advance.

So why not just keep websafe "off" - mine has never been "on" in 10 years.
