My internet drops out intermittantly for about 3 days now. I have the superhub 3 in modem mode connected to an ASUS RT-AX86U. I've tried the usual things of switching off and on again, and putting the hub back in router mode, but get the same issues.

Previous suspicions not valid. The engineer came today, ran various checks, cleaned and replaced some connectors. Then isolated the problem to noise on the cable from our house to the street. So that cable needs replacing which the engineer has requested. So, now waiting for a separate appointment to come through for the external cable replacement with a different team (Kelly's communications I think). Once that is done, then all should be OK again🤞.
