Getting error DEF01 when trying to create my account

Hi there,

Virgin Media customer here. I seem to be having an error message while trying to create my online account (DEF01). Is someone able to assist me please as this is really frustrating.

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting. 

I am very sorry to hear you are getting an error whilst attempting to create your online account. 

Can you please try the following for me?

  • Clear your Cache and Cookies
  • Try another browser
  • Try another device
  • Download the My Virgin Media App

Hi there,

Thank you for the advice.

I have tried all of the above.

Ive tried 3x different browsers, I've tried my phone, tablet and pc. I've tried to create an account using my phone data and clearing cache and cookies did nothing. On the app, if i click create account it takes me to a page where it says that virgin is doing some repairs on the website. Any other advise is more than welcome.
