My friend has this issue right now, he's been calling from his Virgin Media landline (that he's paying £60 a month for) and they keep saying the email address can be reinstated but don't actually tell him how to do it. He's nearly 70 and has had the email account for over 10 years. I really wish there was a human presence at the other end of the line, is there any way he can escalate it to someone who can actually help reinstate the address? It's not really very fair
