Today my TV has stopped allowing access to netflix, instead a message appears telling me about signing up to pay netflix sub via my Virgin Bill.
I do not want to do this , primarily as the netflix account is held by another family member who allows me access as a user profile.
How can I get around this and continue to view netflix via my TV.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems watching Netflix, and it's telling you to sign up through Virgin Media.
Can you do a reboot of the box and then try logging in again please?
