Installed V6 box but can’t get BBC IPlayer on catch up or on demand

Just installed V6 box but Screen goes blank if I select BBC IPlayer on Catch up or on demand Itv hub is ok.

How does the box connect to your superhub?

Ethernet wire, powerline connectors or WiFi?

Cable customer since 1993. Services: FH TV, Sky Sports & Movies (2xV6), Talk Anytime Phone, VIVID 350, Virgin PAYG Mobile

All of us in the household can not watch any programmes on BBC iPlayer.

This issue is via the broadband WiFi and the 2 x V6 boxes.

I have rebooted the Hub & V6 boxes with no joy.

Here are the error messages we get:

Via Laptops: BBC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry, it’s due to rights issues
Via Mobiles: This content is not currently available
Via V6 Boxes: Something went wrong loading this programme - error code 02001

When we disconnect our mobiles from the WiFi which reverts back to the other mobile provider networks, we can access BBC iPlayer OK.

When I work from home with my laptop and connect to my employer's VPN, I can access BBC iPlayer OK.

The issue appears to be with Virgin Media.

I would therefore like this looked into asap please?

Thank you for your post and sorry you're having some issues accessing BBC Iplayer.

 

I understand it's affecting your TV services but could you please try and do a pin hole reset on your router and try access it once this has fully connected again?

Hi Emily,

I already carried out a total reboot which did not resolved the issue.

I decided to contact customer services on Thursday 11th July which took 25 mins to get through and after going through the diagnostic checks again, it was decided to send out an engineer the following day.

After I explained the issue and the diagnostics I had already carried out, the engineer decided to change the 2.0 Hub with a new 3.0 Hub.

This fixed the issue and we can all access BBC iPlayer OK now.

To get an engineer out the following day is very impressive and the engineer Liam was very good too!!
