TiVo box not working

After a week of intermittently not responding when switched on or running really slowly, our TiVo box now won’t start up at all. We have tried to reboot using both the button on the box and by unplugging but it gets stuck in the cycle of the ‘welcome’ page and the ‘starting up’ page and never switches on.
