Hi all,

There is a new error message on the telly tablet when i try to play saved programmes from the 360 box through my TV GO app.

I have tried all sorts including factory reset on tablet. All other devices, (phone on android, ipad,) all working fine

Error is ...........

                                           Not available

Sorry - we can't play this at the moment (licenceErrorCode.license.invalid)

Is it time to put the old girl out to pasture?

Hi

OK this is what i just tried (again). This time i registered my girlfriends phone (samsung S10e) which unregistered the telly tablet. I then watched live tv and saved recordings on GFs phone no problem. I then went into the tv go app on telly tablet and tried to play live tv, to which it said "you must register" which i did and replaced my pc. I then went into live tv on TT no problem. Went into saved recordings........same error message appears about licence error.

Hi @clarkey39 👋.

Thanks for that update, are you able to access any of the recordings on a laptop at all, also how are you trying to access the recordings, are you at home. We would be ever so grateful if you could provide screenshots of this, we have our team in the TvGo department wanting to assist.

Thanks.

Sabrina

Hi

Yes i can access through my laptop using the microsoft edge app. C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application"

This works fine and was tested only the other day, however because i have registered so many test devices now, i cannot re-register my laptop.

Yes i am using the Tv Go app at home, and as previously stated, out of @7 devices tested, only the Telly Tablet brings up the licence code error message.

I also tried switching my 360 virgin box back to wifi instead of network cable. This had no affect on the telly tablet.

Hello clarkey39.

Thanks for your reply.

That's a blast from the past the Telly Tablet.

Providing the operating system is above Android 5.1, Which I understand the Tablet runs on 7.0 , You should still be able to use TVGO.

I have a feeling its the amount of devices registered that is throwing up the license error message.

I can reset the registered devices for you from here if you would like to try that.

If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check your logo at the  top right of your screen that would be great.

Thanks for those details clarkey39.

I have just reset the devices now for you.

It can take a few hours to be active from your end though.

Probable best to try the Telly Tablet first though.

When you log in on a web browser each time, It automatically thinks it's a new device. I normally use a private web page to get over this.

Can you please let me know how you get on.

OK cheers. I will be using the app not via web page. Yes will try TT first. Cheers

Hi

Telly tablet has now been registered as the only device connected to the 360 box. I then removed cache from tv go app on TT and tried to play saved programme. Same licence error. So I then tried to delete the app but it comes pre installed on TT so this is a no go. I then reformatted the TT to force clean installation of the  app. This unfortunately did not work either. I am wondering if this is the issue? Is there a way to force delete tv go app from TT and the reinstall. Even when I go into play store...... There is an uninstall option.... But this only removes the data not the app. This is the only difference I can find between TT and android phones.

Hello again clarkey39.

Sorry you are still getting the error message.

I know the App is pre loaded already on the TT.

I can ask about from here to see if we can shed any light on this issue.

Obviously it is not able to be Un installed and then re installed again.

Are you able to check all Apps for updates via the Playstore. Its a long shot I know.

Leave this with me whilst I do a bit of digging around.

Cheers Gareth

I will check all apps tomorrow and report back

could this be the problem? 🤔 Only 2 apps are not compatible anymore. This one and a speech one. Looked on my android phone and this partner app is working fine.
