I've checked your connection and I'm afraid you're affected by a Utilisation issue. Fault F002896495 is currently estimated to be closed 04/06/14. These issues can quite often have a complex fix that takes some time and a great amount of co ordination with local authorities.
You are not affected by the above fault. They don't stretch that far! I've checked your connection and all looks totally fine. Power levels, SNR and utilisation all good. How are you connected? Wired or wireless?
Thank you for replying. I hope you have the date format wrong on your PC and that the resolution is 6th April and not 4th June ???
I accept that you clearly have an issue and are fixing it and its clearly quite a major fault as its going to take a ridicules amount of time to fix. What I don't accept is that if I go to the service status there is no mention of this. Next to Broadband there is a little green tick and the words good service. If I had seen here there was an issue I wouldn't have needed waste my time posting here.
Double checked and the date format is the correct one sorry, and I take you point on the Service Status search, high utilisation faults are rarely included here, as at the moment only major/area wide service affecting issues are listed, sorry.

Whilst I had been having issues for a few weeks, I finally reported the problem on the 5th March only to be told it would be fixed on the 19th. Come the 19th I noticed it was still running slowly and again telephoned only to be told it 'may' be fixed come June.
I am then told the June date is an ETA and it could be fixed sooner. Hang on, bearing in mind you have missed one deadline it could also mean June is wishful thinking also.
What annoys me most is that I have had these utilization problems just over 12 months ago... Over the christmas of 2012/13 I had issues that dragged on for 4 months. Here I am again not 15 months later and I am suffering again.
As far as I'm concerned the broadband is not fit for purpose. SpeedTest is showing a download of 2.64mbps. I cant stream the footy on TV Anywhere (Which i would expect when it is so poor), but i also get issues streaming music from Spotify.
They (Virgin) have me no where to go. I am tied into a contract and its not as if i can get an alternative in the meantime.
I have just phoned Virgin ready to tell them to shove everything but it appears the cancellation people arent about at this time.
I cant stress how annoyed this has got me. As a Virgin customer since the blueyonder days, I reckon tomorrow (contract permitting and lets see how that holds up), it could be goodbye and good riddance
I have to say that if it goes any slower it will be going backwards ... my upload speed is over 4 (FOUR) times faster than my download speeds tonight

mushype they will give you credit for 50% of your BB service without .... but its still pretty **bleep** when you think I got a 28MBS on Vodafone 4G at the Trafford centre on Satuday .. that's without any wires or cables VM
