Liberty global get mentioned as they are the company who OWN Virgin media and have control of the purse strings etc
Also the only mention of LIberty Global was someone offering to contact a capacity planning person there, which may actually help bring attention to the issue.

Re: Ping issues in evenings (gaming)

Hi @Shafreya

Quite probably on this message board, I was more referring to the post I linked that had a link to the LoL forum, where a LoL staff member confirms that there is correlation between Libery Media owned cable companies and the ping issue as alot of them were bouncing via Aorta.

Re: Ping issues in evenings (gaming)

I'm having the exact same problem as the OP except my ms is going up to 110 from a very stable 25 prior, I've contacted Riot support who took me through several tests and have said the problem lies with my ISP. Is there any official update on this from Virgin?

Still loads of problems with exactly the same issue. With it mysteriously going away for a few evenings/weeks then coming back with a vengeance. Only get as far as 1st line support promising to escalate to 2nd line only for it to be seemingly fixed for a few days then back to the same old crap. Unacceptable. Anyone locked into a contract that's currently is trying to cancel?

Something is wrong between your PC and the hub (192.168.0.1) as a 44ms ping is far too high, and even 17ms is bad for that. It should be <1ms on Ethernet and 1 or 2ms on WiFi. How are you connecting? If Wifi, what does a traceroute over a wired connection look like?
