Line Busy error with BT handset

Hi,  I just had my virgin broadband installed yesterday but my Bt1200 wireless telephone handset keeps saying line in busy.  I need the phone as I often work from home and use this for conference calls.

Please help

Have you plugged it into tel1 the grey top socket on the hub?

Yes. The same socket the engineer used. In the connected adapter that he also used

Call 0345 454 1111 from another phone to report the fault.

or try another phone first to rule out a problem with the phone.

Try pulling the plug out your phones base unit and back in
